Yolanda Ren

Hi! I'm a multidisciplinary artist with interests in interactive installation and performance. I integrate objects, projections, images, videos, text, performances, and interactive elements into my works.

I am attracted to how alienation shapes our society and personal lives, and how art can serve as a field of anti-alienation, which is the central theme of most of my works. My overarching goal is also to bridge classical philosophical theories from both analytic and continental traditions with contemporary art by transforming these theoretical structures through subjective interpretation and personal artistic expression.

I am currently studying Philosophy and Visual Studies at the University of Toronto, with an expected graduation in April 2025.
